Overview
Vehicle history reports are digital products delivered instantly upon purchase. Because the data is consumed at the moment of delivery, all sales are generally final. However, we want every customer to be satisfied — and we handle refund requests fairly on a case-by-case basis.
When You Qualify for a Refund
- You were charged but never received a report (technical failure).
- You were charged more than once for the same VIN.
- The report returned was blank or clearly corrupted.
When Refunds Are Not Issued
- The report was successfully delivered and the data did not meet your expectations (e.g., the vehicle has no accident history, which is accurate data).
- You entered the wrong VIN — contact us and we'll re-run for the correct VIN at no extra charge within 24 hours.
- More than 7 days have passed since the purchase.
How to Request a Refund
Email contact@cheapcarfax.xyz within 7 days of your purchase. Include your VIN, the email address used at checkout, and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 1 business day.
Processing Time
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
